A little about me…

My name is Sarah, and I’m a former chef turned dog walker. After 12 years of cooking, I needed a job that was going to create a more positive head space for myself, and choosing dog walking was the second best choice I've ever made. The first being rescuing Bowie, my deaf, albino boxer babe. She was 8 months old when she came in to my life, and turned 7 this last April. Learning how to communicate with her effectively, and just have her in my life has been SO rewarding.

I started walking with the app Wag! (over 500 walks and counting) and have slowly built my own private business walking, house sitting, and boarding dogs. Walking is typically one on one in the neighborhood, where I come to the dog. I don’t discriminate any dog for any behaviors, because every dog deserves to get a work out. I work well with strong pullers, reactive dogs, nervous dogs, and senior dogs. I also love puppies who need practice working on skills, or any high energy dog who needs to run down the battery. I love a gentle leader leash style, but can work with any. Positive reinforcement with lots of rewards through treats, playtime, and pets are the tools I use to earn trust with each dog. Every dog is different and I play the long game when earning trust. Each walk basically turns in to a mini photo shoot with each dog, especially when there are gorgeous flowers, landscaping, decorations, chalk art, ect. Each day holds so much potential for a new phone background!

I also do house sitting and boarding, depending on what is best for your dog. Bowie loves coming with me, but we understand that not every dog likes a new dog friend. I am insured through State Farm in the event of anything crazy happening, but I hope to never have to use it. Please reach out to plan a meet and greet, or ask any questions you have.
